Free email check

Would an email from your website actually be trusted?

A quote goes out, the customer never sees it, and neither of you finds out for a week. Three public records decide whether a receiving server believes a message is really from you. This reads them.

Check your email records

One address and a few seconds. We read the public DNS records for your domain — the same ones every receiving server reads — and show you what we find. Nothing is sent, nothing is changed, and no email is needed to see the results.

Your website address, or an email address at your own domain — either names the same thing. We read public DNS, so nothing is sent and nothing is changed.

What public records can tell you, and what they can’t

It reads

  • Whether anything is published to accept mail at your domain at all.
  • Whether you’ve said which servers are allowed to send in your name, and whether that list ends in an actual instruction.
  • Whether a stranger can put your business’s name on their message and have it delivered anyway.

It doesn’t

  • See your mailbox, your sent items, or anyone’s spam folder. It sends nothing and receives nothing.
  • Give you a score. We’d have to invent the weights, and a number you can’t interrogate isn’t worth much.
  • Promise your mail will land. These records earn a receiver’s trust; what’s in the message and how your address has behaved decide the rest.

All of it is public. Every record this reads can be read by anybody from anywhere — which is exactly why it’s worth knowing what yours say. Nothing here needs access to an account you own, and we don’t ask for one.

This one looks at your domain. If you want the website itself read the way a search engine and a screen reader do, that’s the site check; if you want to know whether your site and your Google listing agree, that’s the listing check.

When you’d rather not do it yourself

Getting these put right — $125 an hour

Most of what this report finds is one afternoon of careful work, and a good deal of it is fifteen minutes.

These records live with whoever holds your domain, and that account stays yours — we don’t take a login to it and don’t want one. So this works the way the listing session does: your report open, your account on your screen, you make each change and we tell you what to change and why. Nothing is guesswork, and you end up knowing what your own records say.

If your site is something we built or look after, this is ordinarily just part of that.
