Care plan
The unglamorous part, handled
Hosting, backups, updates and monitoring, so the site you paid for is still fast and still online in three years. It's plumbing, not a product — and we price it like plumbing.
Care
$129/ month
Billed monthly — cancel with 30 days’ notice
- Hosting, the padlock that shows your site is secure, and a backup every day
- Security and software updates
- Uptime monitoring, so an outage reaches us automatically rather than waiting for someone to notice
- Thirty minutes of content edits a month, by email
A website is a running system, not a finished object. Software underneath it needs updating, certificates expire, hosts have bad days, and the small content change you meant to make in March is still sitting there in November. The usual small-business answer — “someone in the office owns the website” — means in practice that nobody does.
Care makes it somebody’s actual job. Hosting, security and a daily backup run in the background. Software updates get applied. And the site is watched around the clock, so if it goes down at midnight we get the alert, not you. The changes you’d otherwise put off get done by email, inside the monthly allowance — you ask, it ships.
Care is plumbing, not a product. It keeps what you own running — the work happens in the automation line. We’re deliberately not trying to make margin here. Care exists so the thing you bought keeps working, and so you never have to think about the words “SSL certificate” again.
Care is optional, and it isn’t a hostage clause. Your domain, hosting accounts, code and content are all registered in your name from day one. Cancel Care and you keep every bit of it — you just take over the updates. Plenty of website subscriptions delete your site when you stop paying. That’s not what this is.
Being straight with you
What Care doesn’t include
Plenty of agencies bundle these in and quietly hope you never use them. We’d rather tell you where the line is.
Workflow monitoring and tuning
That lives in the automation retainer, because that's where the workflows live.
See automationA monthly results report
Care has no workflows to report on. Automation packages get a monthly note.
See automationNew pages or redesigns
Content edits are small changes to what exists. New pages get quoted separately.
